Welcome to September and the Kickoff Meeting and Program of the Central NJ Chapter of ARMA for the 2015-2016 Year

Join us on Thursday, September 17 for our Kickoff Meeting and Program for the 2015-2016 Year. We want to provide programs over the coming year that address your interests and provide hands-on skills that directly benefit you and your companies. In order to meet that challenge, we need feedback from you our members and friends. So bring along your ideas and wish lists, get your coffee and let’s talk!

Speaker: Linda Pace, Prudential Insurance
Linda Pace has worked in the Records and Information Management (RIM) industry for 20 years. In her current role, she develops processes and procedures for 49 field offices. She is also a Business Continuity (BC) Planner responsible for developing and implementing BC Plans. She is knowledgeable on the various aspects of business continuity and disaster recovery. Linda is an experienced trainer and facilitator has presented topics such as leadership, communications, career development as well as business continuation and record information management topics. Previously, Linda served as a Team Leader at the World Bank in Washington, DC. Linda is a former commissioned officer and veteran of the US Army Reserve, having served in Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland.

Topic - Business Continuity: The Records Manager’s Role
This overview of business continuity offers insight into the role of the records manager and staff before, during and after a business interruption or incident.
Knowing the right steps to take; key business partners and how to effectively protect business records. This interactive session also includes a case study of recent events and how the records manager's role can positively or negatively impact the outcome. Lessons learned and best practices will also be discussed.
