Manager of Corporate Records and Legal Department Operations - North America

Reporting to the Chief Litigation & Compliance Counsel this position will:

Corporate Records Management (80%)

  • Develop and refine the company-wide records management and retention program to ensure the consistent retention of physical records and electronic records.  
  • Responsible for enforcing, executing and revising retention periods to ensure compliance with Company policy, federal, state and local requirements, including applicable SEC requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional business leaders to develop, implement and audit tailored processes for the lifecycle governance of physical records and electronic records.  
  • Work closely with the IT department in developing electronic records repositories, and systems that are appropriately designed and configured to manage the lifecycle of electronic records and are capable of automating compliance with the applicable records retention periods.
  • Work closely with the IT department and various business functions to develop data classification guidelines and handling procedures and implement necessary business processes to support appropriate handling.
  • Conduct audits of Company locations to ensure compliance with the records management and retention program.  Report to management on the state of record-keeping.
  • Prepare training for Company personnel to advise of changes in policy, retention periods and disposal cycle for non-retained records.  


Legal Department Operations (20%)

  • Develop budgets for Legal Department.  Prepare monthly reports regarding expenditures and assist staff and attorneys in the processing of invoices.  
  • Support the daily management and expenses of Legal Department.
  • Oversee administrative aspects for the proper functioning of the legal department.



  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6-8 years of records management  (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with current and emerging records management practices.
  • Ability to lift boxes of records (30 lbs.). ?
